Our verdict

Warmth without the crackle is the pitch: four-season insulation from suspended Thermal Mirror film that skips the crinkly-chip-bag sound most insulated pads make, over 3.5 inches of Spaceframe trusses built to kill the waterbed wobble. The 20-denier top asks for normal campsite care, and the included Vortex pump sack is worth using every time - it keeps breath moisture out of the insulation. This rectangular Regular cut trades a little pack weight for real shoulder and knee room versus the mummy version NEMO also sells. For cold sleepers, shoulder-season regulars, and side-sleepers, this is the one-pad answer; dedicated summer gram-counters can go lighter.
