Overview
The Hubba Hubba LT 2 is MSR ultralight two-person freestanding tent, a lighter revision of the long-running Hubba Hubba. Two doors and two vestibules give both sleepers their own way out, and the freestanding pole design pitches fast on any surface.

Our verdict
The Hubba Hubba has been the default do-everything backpacking tent for years, and the LT revision shaves weight without giving up the things that made it popular: two doors, two vestibules, a genuinely livable interior, and a freestanding pitch that goes up fast on rock or sand. Under three pounds for a double-wall two-person tent is competitive, though dedicated ultralighters will still go lighter with a trekking-pole shelter and give up the convenience. For two backpackers who want a bombproof, easy-living tent that handles real three-season weather, this is the safe, excellent answer - you pay a premium, but you are paying for MSR reliability.
