Our verdict
The MicroMo is the Jetboil for people who want to cook, not just boil water. Unlike the boil-only Flash, its regulated valve gives real simmer control, so you can actually cook a meal instead of just rehydrating one - and the pressure regulator keeps it performing as the canister drains and the temperature drops toward freezing. At 12 ounces it is lighter than the Flash while adding capability. The tradeoffs: the 0.8-liter cup is sized for one, and like all Jetboils you are locked into the ecosystem. For solo backpackers who cook real food and count ounces, it is the smart pick in the lineup.
